The Lou DeLuca Band was formed in 2002 by singer/songwriter Lou DeLuca. Joined by long-time friend and drummer Don Rutter, they together found keyboardist Bob Rees and, most recently, bassist David Guzman to complete the line-up. All are highly experienced players with a lifetime of great music that they bring to the band.

In just over a year’s time the band has proven to be a “musical tour de force”, rising through the club ranks and gaining a reputation for hard hitting, big-time entertainment. It was only natural that club owners, who knew a great band when they heard it, began booking the band in support of such world famous acts as Candye Kane, Rod Piazza, Jackie Greene and Los Lobos. Headlining status followed shortly after at venues such as San Jose’s legendary JJ’s Blues Club, Santa Cruz’s Moe’s Alley and The Catalyst Club, and Harrah’s-owned Bill's Back Door Blues Club at South Lake Tahoe, as a four piece band that plays high-energy, danceable rock, rhythm & blues, and funk with devastating power and commitment that audiences simply can’t forget.

The year 2007 marked the "year of the festival" for the band, with performances at Morgan Hill "Mushroom Mardi Gras", the Auburn "BBQ & Blues Festival", the Sonora "Fire on the Mountain Blues Festival", and the San Jose "Let the Children Play Music Festival". The band did more than hold its own while sharing the stage with the likes of Little Feat, Sonny Landreth, Elvin Bishop, Chris Cain, Cafe R&B, and other notable acts.

Yet the crowning jewel of this band lies in its debut CD entitled “Hell To Pay”, an unforgettable collection of eleven of Lou DeLuca’s original songs. As you will hear on Hell To Pay, the band is driven by high powered vocals and soaring melodies packed into highly stylized arrangements that leave the audience wanting more. As for musicianship, the band boasts a veteran rhythm section that brings out the best of the classic guitar and keyboard duels that rock this band's exciting stage show.
